I’m an illustrator and lifelong nature enthusiast with a fondness for insects and attraction to life in and around the water.
I have always been captivated by the strange beauty and delicacy in the forms of invertebrates, and enjoy creating intimate portraits of larvae and other lesser-loved creepy crawlies to celebrate their charisma.
I earned my BFA in illustration, and am a member of the Guild of Natural Science Illustrators. My work has included projects for the Field Museum of Natural History, Shedd Aquarium, Xerces Society for Invertebrate Conservation, Royal Ontario Museum, Ranger Rick Magazine, Whole Foods Market and others.
I currently divide my time between Madison WI and Chicago, and enjoy scouting the lakes and prairies for interesting creatures.
